Holiday Crafting - Valentine's Day Flowers

Looking for a simple craft this holiday season? Try these flowers that won't wilt with time.

Supplies: your favorite color making tools (crayons, paints, pastels, etc.), paper, pencil,
scissors, glue, sticks, small pot, foam insert, decorative grass

Trace a hand (or four) and some leaf shapes on a piece of paper.

Turn the paper over and cover it with color. No rhyme or reason necessary, just lots of color.

Turn the paper over and cut out the handprints and leaf shapes.
Note: Mommy may need to put down the camera and help

Place a dollop of glue on one end and the middle of each stick.
Attach the hands and leaves.

Use the pot to mark your foam before you carve it.

Put the foam insert in the pot, add some decorative grass, and "plant" your flowers.

Ta-da! Flowers that will bloom forever.
Happy Valentine's Day!
